SANTA BARBARA WATER MAIN PROJECT

ALERT:  FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2019 WORK IS BEING DONE ON WILTSHIRE BETWEEN SANTA BARBARA AND SUNET.

Dear Residents,
The City began construction on a new water main along Santa Barbara from 11 Mile north to Roseland, east on Roseland to Bloomfield & north on Bloomfield to 12 Mile. As part of this project there will be times when your water might be turned off.  We apologize but we do not know when you could be affected, but on that day our DPS employees will knock on your door to inform you.  It will be out aproximately a few hours.  When the water is turned back on you may encounter brown water and/or air in your lines.  To address this issue go to the lowest point in your home and run the
COLD water until it appears clear and the air pockets disappear.  Please do this BEFORE turning on your water in the rest of your home.  If you experience low water pressure you will need to remove and clear your faucet aerators.
The City appreciates your patience during this process.
If you have any questions please call the City office at (248)557-2600.

DTE MAINTENANCE TREE TRIMMING

PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING DTE MAINTENANCE TREE TRIMMING SCHEDULED FOR 2020

Here's what to expect:

1.  Before DTE begins trimming, they will send you a letter letting you know when they will be in the area.

2. Shortly after, DTE planners will assess your neighborhood and create a trimming plan.

3.  If trimming is needed on your property, DTE will knock on your door and leave a door hanger describing the necessary trimming.  Your planner will leave his/her contact information to answer any questions you may have regarding the work planned for your property.

4.  If a tree possess a hazard to the power lines, and/or trimming will damage the tree's health, it may be removed.  These trees will be marked with two white dots. In this instance, DTE planners will make every effort to contact you to discuss the removal.  After your tree removal permit is signed, planners will mark the tree with a white "X" indicating it is ready for removal.

5.  Due to many varying factors, tree trimming schedules are sometimes changed or delayed.  In this event, DTE will do their best to inform you of those changes.

You may contact DTE for more information at the link provided below.  Copy and paste in your browser:  https://www.newlook.dteenergy.com/wps/wcm/connect/dte-web/home/service-request/common/system-improvements/tre-trimming
