Water Main Project - Water Service Interruption 9/23-9/24


IMPORTANT NOTICE – WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT UPDATES & WATER INTERRUPTIONS
Thursday, SEPT 23rd – 8am-
 4pm (If it rains, the water shut off will possibly be Friday 9/24)

The City of Lathrup Village announced that several streets will be impacted with temporary water interruption:

 Residential streets:

Avilla, Wiltshire, Redwood, Lathrup

COVID UPDATES

COVID UPDATES
In order to continue to provide the maximum protection, particularly against the Delta variant, and to help prevent possibly spreading it to others, the city is following the CDC workplace guidelines to reduce risks and help prevent exposures.  These include:

  • Visitors to City Hall are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings while in the building, regardless of their vaccination status. Please note that for some city indoor events, face coverings may be required.
  • Cleaning - In addition to regular cleaning, disinfection of commonly used surfaces will continue.
  • Administration Office Closed for Lunch 12:30pm-1:30pm. This was established for several reasons:

San Rosa & Wiltshire Water Main Projects

San Rosa and Wiltshire Water Main Project                                                     

In early to mid-August, the City of Lathrup Village will commence construction of a new 8-inch diameter water main along San Rosa and Wiltshire from Southfield Road to the east side of Lathrup Boulevard.

The work will commence on San Rosa and once the main is installed, the contractor will move over to Wiltshire to install the new main. It is expected that work will be completed by October 1st, 2021.

Point & Pay - Easy Online/Remote Payments

The electronic bill payment system – “Point & Pay” – is coming online on Monday, April 5, 2021.

Residents will be able to pay water bills and property taxes. Contractors and home owners will be able to apply and pay for Building Department permits from their computer, tablet or cell phone! This aids in identifying if there is possible lead exposure in drinking water which may cause health risks. That is why the City of Lathrup Village is tracking where lead water service lines exist within our community.

How to Properly Recycle Cardboard

To ensure proper recycling of cardboard please follow these steps:

1. Remove packing material and flatten cardboard boxes.

2. If needed, break down cardboard into smaller pieces to ensure it fits in the cart.

3. Place items into the recycling cart. Items not properly placed will be taken to the landfill.
