Resident Survey for Comprehensive Plan

The City of Lathrup Village is conducting a resident survey as part of the Comprehensive Plan process. The Plan will explore long-range planning issues related to the future growth and prosperity of the city. Please take about 10 minutes to participate in the online survey that will explore how and where residents spend their shopping and dining dollars so we can assess what opportunities should be explored for the future as part of the planning process.

PictureThis! Interactive Map for the Comprehensive Plan

The City of Lathrup Village is updating its Master Plan, Recreation Plan and Downtown Plan. During the planning process, which will last about 8-9 months, the city will work with our project consultant, Giffels Webster, who has created an online platform called PictureThis™ to better understand what residents and business owners like about the city and what could be improved.
As you are out and about in the city, look for things that strike you as particularly attractive, welcoming and unique, or unappealing, bland and tired-looking. Images can be submitted to this online platform from any internet browser using your phone, tablet, or computer. Use the links in the platform to share with others on social media or send in an email.

SANTA BARBARA WATER MAIN PROJECT

Dear Residents,
The City began construction on a new water main along Santa Barbara from 11 Mile north to Roseland, east on Roseland to Bloomfield & north on Bloomfield to 12 Mile. As part of this project there will be times when your water might be turned off.  We apologize but we do not know when you could be affected, but on that day our DPS employees will knock on your door to inform you.  It will be out aproximately a few hours.  When the water is turned back on you may encounter brown water and/or air in your lines.  To address this issue go to the lowest point in your home and run the
COLD water until it appears clear and the air pockets disappear.  Please do this BEFORE turning on your water in the rest of your home.  If you experience low water pressure you will need to remove and clear your faucet aerators.
The City appreciates your patience during this process.
If you have any questions please call the City office at (248)557-2600.
