News & Notes
Notice: We are accepting indoor and outdoor rentals for 2021.  Please note, that we will follow the capacity limits set by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.  You can find the latest information here.  As of March 5, 2021, these are the restrictions for our venue:
General capacity limitations at gatherings:
  1. Indoor gatherings:
    1. Are prohibited at residential venues, except where no more than 15 persons from no more than 3 households are gathered. Such gatherings should be held consistent with guidance issued by the Department of Health and Human Services for such gatherings; and
    2. Are prohibited at non-residential venues, except where no more than 25 persons are gathered.
  2. Outdoor gatherings are permitted only as follows:
    1. At residential venues, 50 or fewer persons are gathered;
    2. At non-residential venues, 300 or fewer persons are gathered.
Please note, we do not know if or when these capacity limits will change.

2021 Winter Recreation Programs
Check out our wonderful new program line up for Winter 2021. We have new programs for adults and children, including free and low-cost options. All of our programs follow proper Covid-19 safety procedures. Register online for easy and immediate refunds if cancellations are needed. Here are a few options:

Lathrup Village Dog Park
Join the Lathrup Village Dog Park!  The park is located on the site of one of the old roller hockey rinks behind Annie Lathrup School. Cost is just $15 per dog for residents, $5 for each additional dog in the household. Non-residents also welcome. Applications are available in City Hall or here. Want to get involved as a volunteer? Join the Friends of the Lathrup Village Dog Park group on Facebook. Check it out here. 


Get Involved in your Community 

There are many volunteer and interest groups in Lathrup Village.  There's something for everyone from history to gardening to raising kids to promoting small businesses.  Do you need help getting connected?  Email Chris at recreation@lathrupvillage.org or call (248) 557-2600 ext. 224.
