Oakland County has issued an Emergency Order that places a ban on indoor and outdoor playground equipment that takes place immediately. The orders are effective until April 17, 2020.
 
For the safety of our residents, we are advising that the playground areas in the City of Lathrup Village are closed in compliance with this order.

Register now for a social distancing visit from The Bunny on Saturday, April 4! He is working hard to stay healthy and avoid spreading germs, so everyone must remain in their houses while he is visiting in the yard or driveway to drop off special candy-filled eggs.

Summer Leadership Academy
The City of Lathrup Village Summer Leadership Academy will provide hands-on work experience for local high school underclassmen in a structured, supervised setting.

Under the guidance and direction of an experienced adult instructor, students will complete daily park maintenance tasks and projects using a team approach. Weekly themes for learning will include topics such as professionalism, conflict resolution, writing for the workplace, taking initiative and career exploration. Academy learning techniques are discussion and action based.
