San Rosa and Wiltshire Water Main Project
In early to mid-August, the City of Lathrup Village will commence construction of a new 8-inch diameter water main along San Rosa and Wiltshire from Southfield Road to the east side of Lathrup Boulevard.
The work will commence on San Rosa and once the main is installed, the contractor will move over to Wiltshire to install the new main. It is expected that work will be completed by October 1st, 2021.
During construction, San Rosa and Wiltshire will be closed during the day. Driveways may be impacted for a short duration while the water main is being installed. A temporary aggregate patch will be installed so you can use the driveway.
Trash pick-up and mail delivery should not be affected by this work.
There will be times when no work is happening due to the weather or testing requirements.
Starting in October of 2021, Consumers Energy is scheduled to replace the gas main from the Southfield alley to the easterly dead end on both San Rosa and Wiltshire. Consumers Energy will be providing advanced notification.
The street projects in the spring / summer of 2022, will be San Rosa and Wiltshire from Southfield to the dead end.
The City appreciates your patience and understanding during this project and will work with the contractor to minimize the impact to the residents as much as possible.
