Fireworks Safety Regulations

Lathrup Village residents are reminded that fireworks are ONLY permitted on and around days that are National Holidays.

For the July 4th holiday, the Michigan Fireworks Safety Act allows for fireworks ONLY from June 29th to July 5th (when the 4th falls on a Friday or Saturday).

Our local ordinance also requires that these fireworks are NOT to be ignited, discharged or used AFTER 12 MIDNIGHT.

Everyone is reminded to please be respectful and courteous to your neighbors and only enjoy your fireworks during the permitted dates and times. The loud noises may be very frightening to children, pets, veterans and those with PTSD.

Violators should be reported immediately to the Police Department. Please include the address and description, if possible.

Thanks everyone for your cooperation!
